Nils is Coming Home

In Warsaw I’m buying a fresh bun: Przepraszam, pani! Ile to kosztuje? Dobrze! To proszę mi podać.

Almost exhausted geese are going to make the last spurt, and then they will be unhitched, fed with delicious grain until they popped and left in rest waiting for the next trip.
This summer they had to work. First flew over the whole Lithuania, then - Germany, and now do in Warsaw (I really like Poland for its free wi-fi. Germany, shame on you!)

I’ll remember this summer.
The Baltic Sea and The Trakai Lake, countless angels on the roofs of countless churches (I bought the postcard, lets sign with the Brodsky’s name).
Amber, smiles, wind…
I’m running along the empty sea coast. The sky is so deeply blue that you can pretend you look right into the God’s eyes.
... only Sea is able to face the Sky.
Berlin, conquered by me (or actually me by him?). Free, bright, multi-faceted. It’s impossible to express your feelings when you observe the city panorama from the Bundestag Dome. And yeah, I bought a teddy bear: funny, in a leather jacket and with a flight helmet. It’s my city, and I’ll return.
Goerlitz, where The Reader was filmed. (I was shown a window of the Kate Winslet’s room in the hotel). I walked through the center to the river humming The New Girl in Town and Good Morning, Baltimore - Good Morning, Germany, I mean. Since my first visit to Deutschland in the early childhood I knew for sure that this country is mine.
Dresden again, and it’s time for shopping. Well, you cannot just pass by the so nice dress on sale! And then the city from the bird's-eye height… Now Vonnegut is much closer to me.
But most of all I'll miss our night battles of life and death with Marcus in Ubongo, Hali-Gali and other endless table games with these jawbreaking German names.
Incidentally, I liked the German version of the "mystical" Mafia more than our common one! They play with a Werewolf, Witch (Hexe), Girl and Armor (perhaps you could say Cupid). I want to play again!
I’ll miss our friendship (Don’t worry, Facebook still exists and you should be ready to welcome someone in Ukraine!).
And I’ll miss this way of living without any problem solving anything, doing things you love, with complete freedom of action and a sense of childish joy and pure unpolluted happiness.
I would stay there, in those eternal holidays, but I had to go back home to a real adult life.
… and a farewell card signed by Tom I’m going to hang together with a card from Gina and Pei-ling on the board under my desk. Postcards given to me by friends from Japan, Sweden, Slovakia; strange but beautiful little things, souvenirs, pathetic notes, valentines, friendship bracelets, dried flowers and other stuff... Sometimes I'm terribly sentimental.
Thank you, Summer, for what you were! You were wonderful, and the next will be even better, I'm sure! I’m looking forward to it. (At now it’s time to finish. because the tablet is already discharged and geese are flapping their wings in the stall, ready to take off).
